Data Journalism

Data journalism or data-driven journalism (DDJ) is journalism based on the filtering and analysis of large data sets to create or elevate a news story. Data journalism reflects the increased role of numerical data in the production and distribution of information in the digital era. It involves a blending of journalism with other fields such as data visualization, computer science, and statistics, "an overlapping set of competencies drawn from disparate fields".

European Organization for Nuclear Research

The European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN (French: Conseil européen pour la Recherche nucléaire), is an intergovernmental organization that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. Established in 1954, it is based in Meyrin, a western suburb of Geneva, on the France–Switzerland border. It comprises 23 member states. Israel, admitted in 2013, is the only non-European full member. CERN is an official United Nations General Assembly observer.

User Datagram Protocol

In computer networking, the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) is one of the core communication protocols of the Internet protocol suite used to send messages (transported as datagrams in packets) to other hosts on an Internet Protocol (IP) network. Within an IP network, UDP does not require prior communication to set up communication channels or data paths.
