Data Transfer Object

In the field of programming, a data transfer object (DTO) is an object that carries data between processes. The motivation for its use is that communication between processes is usually done by resorting to remote interfaces (e.g., web services), where each call is an expensive operation.

Gross Domestic Product

Gross domestic product (GDP) is a monetary measure of the market value of all the final goods and services produced in a specific time period by a country or countries. GDP is most often used by the government of a single country to measure its economic health. Due to its complex and subjective nature, this measure is often revised before being considered a reliable indicator.

Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA; two-factor authentication, or 2FA, etc.) is an electronic authentication method in which a user is granted access to a website or application only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence (or factors) to an authentication mechanism. MFA protects personal data—which may include personal identification or financial assets—from being accessed by an unauthorized third party that may have been able to discover, for example, a single password.
